The Tornado 7118 HWS side discharge and mulching tractor is built to handle tough mowing conditions. Centered around the stronger chassis is a cast iron front axle and heavy-duty cutting deck. The tractor is powered by a Briggs & Stratton v-twin engine with a hydrostatic (automatic) transmission. Pedal operated there are no gear changes required.If you have more than lawns to maintain then a side discharge / mulching ride on mower is the answer. Grass cuttings can be left to wilt back naturally or finely mulched. The mulch is very fine and is absorbed into the ground providing extra moisture and nutrients.The heavy duty 118cm side discharge cutter deck fitted to the 7118HWS is reinforced steel and has 3 cutter blades with heavy duty pulleys and a Kevlar reinforced belt. 6 anti-scalp wheels allow the deck to ‘float’ over the terrain, so the blades don’t scalp or tear the grass. The 3 blades are set to the optimum position for the most effective side discharge cutting action. The cutter deck can be adjusted to 7 height settings from 30 – 90mm so you can achieve the best cut.Powering the Tornado 7118 HWS is a premium Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder engine. The V-twin Intek engine delivers a powerful 724cc (13.59kW) so handling rough terrain and stubborn growth areas is no problem. A 15 litre fuel tank means you can work for longer periods without having to stop to re-fuel.
